Santuario Nacional Los Manglares de Tumbes
Área natural protegida de 2,972 hectáreas que resguarda los manglares del norte peruano, hábitat de aves, cocodrilos y conchas negras.
The Los Manglares de Tumbes National Sanctuary protects 2,972 hectares of rare aquatic halophyte forest where marine currents meet the Gulf of Guayaquil. Administered by SERNANP, entry is coordinated through the El Algarrobo checkpoint. The sanctuary shelters 148 bird species, the endangered American crocodile (Crocodylus acutus), and the mangrove raccoon, alongside traditional black clam (Anadara tuberculosa) extractors.
