Anniversary of the Battle of Zarumilla

Tumbes
On September 10th, the capital of the region dresses up to honor its Patron Saint, Nicholas of Tolentino. The epicenter of the celebrations is the majestic main church, an architectural gem of the 17th century that combines the baroque style with republican lines, and whose stained-glass windows illustrate sacred passages that enrich the mysticism of the temple.
The program, in charge of the parish liturgical team, includes photography exhibitions, regional dessert festivals, music contests and massive evening masses that gather all the chapels of the district, as well as the regional governor, provincial mayors, the prefecture and senior military and police authorities, consolidating the governance pact in the public square.
It takes place in Tumbes city; the epicenter is the main church, in the city center.
